Alessi's famous 'La Conica' coffee maker was born out of the 'Tea and Coffee Piazza' project, in which the brand's founder Alberto Alessi teamed up with Alessandro Mendini and gathered eleven young designers to explore the possibilities of tea and coffee services. Designed by Aldo Rossi between 1980 and 1983, 'La Conica' soon earned iconic status, thanks to its bold use of primary shapes and sharp lines. Made from stainless steel, the espresso coffee maker sits atop a copper bottom.
